A Miniature Milestone: The Marianne E. Gibson Portrait Miniature Gallery at 20
December 2, 2009 – April 8, 2010

Although not as large as easel paintings or sculptures, portrait miniatures do tell a "big" and important. Rediscover the large impact of some of the Museum's small marvels.

What Matters
Recent art practices continue to evolve in the shadow cast years ago by Marcel Duchamp, whose altered the context of useful objects to works of art. Drawn primarily from the Museum's permanent collection, the exhibition considers works spanning two decades (1988–2008) by a roster of leading contemporary artists.
